Poco X3 is the successor of Poco X2 and it comes with minor upgrades. Poco Series has always known for flagship killer identity since its launch from Poco F1 that was launched in 2018 with a flagship processor at an affordable price. Poco had been inactive in 2019 and people were waiting for the successor of F1. And in 2020, Poco X2 was released which was the rebranded version of Redmi K30.
Poco X3 is not a rebranded version of any Redmi or other Xiaomi phones. It comes with a 6.67-inch IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate just like X2 but the placement of the punch hole is at the center with only one camera making the display clean and seeable.
Poco X3 is powered by the new Snapdragon 732G with a more powerful processor and graphics that can handle heavy tasks like gaming on your phone. With a 5160mAh battery, you can play with it all day long. It even supports for 33W fast charge and has a USB Type-C reversible connector port.
It has a quad-camera setup with 64 MP as the main camera with the latest Sony IMX682 sensor. Another one is a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera and the other two are depth sensor and macro camera with 2MP on each one of them. It has the 4K video recording up to 30fps and 960fps 270P slow motion support. The biggest update on the Poco X3 is NFC and it supports IP53 splash-proof protection for water and dust resistance.

Specifications of Poco X3
Body
It has the metallic textured pattern with a large Poco logo which is quite a unique design in a Poco phone. Like any mid-range phones, its back is made of plastic though it has an aluminum frame.
The body is 6.67-inch and weighs 215g. It has Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and is resistant to water and dust
Display
Poco X3 comes with a higher refresh rate of 120Hz. Though the panel is IPS LCD rather than AMOLED which would be so better. But at this price point and given refresh rate, IPS is kind of okay. The punch hole cut of is small is clean making the display even more beautiful
The phone has an aspect ratio of 20:9 with a resolution of 1080 X 2400 pixels. It has support for HDR10 so you watch Netflix or any online streaming videos on high resolution. The brightness goes up to 450 nits which are quite bright.
Performance
Poco X3 is powered with the latest Snapdragon 732G based on 8nm technology. It is the upgraded version of 730G with better performance and improvements in graphics.
It offers some of the best performance in the 4G mid-range segment. There’s no overheating, thanks to the vapor chamber and two graphite layers for dissipating the heat.
Camera
It has a quad-camera setup: 64MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide angle camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor with an LED flashlight. It has a 20MP front-facing camera that will get you a decent portrait selfie with enough detail and nice colors.
The photos taken from X3 will give you enough details, excellent contrast, lively colors, and wide dynamic range. Well, the close up taken from the macro camera is just okay. Electronic Stabilization (EIS) is available that provides a good job in smoothing things out.
It has support for 4K video recording up to 30fps and slow-motion video can shoot 960fps in 720P.
Sound
Poco did it this time with X3 adding a stereo speaker to their device. It has been the downside of the device despite its price tag. It has a hybrid stereo speaker setup with one on a bottom-firing speaker and the earpiece acting as the second one.
The sound is pretty loud and the quality is decent too. The thing is that they could have done it better. There’s a 3.5 mm audio jack for you to plug in your traditional earphone. And it supports FM radio.
Battery
The phone is packed with a massive 5160mAh battery that could last you all day. You get a 33W fast charge in-box that could charge your phone from 0 to 100 in 2 hours. It has USB Type-c reversible connector port.
Sensors
Poco X3 has got almost all the sensors a smartphone has to have. You get the side-mounted fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone and its super responsive. Thanks, Poco for including the IR Blaster that makes life more convenient for using your smartphone as a remote controller to control your tv and other smart accessories.
